THE STORY AND BACKGROUND

SYNOPSIS

new-zombie-movies-joyce

Our desperate need to find connection, is it really love? Or are we merely afraid to be alone? Over 13 episodes, through many facets, we will explore the things that we do, the things we must do or are compelled to do, in order to survive and in order to protect our or seek out new connections.

The emotional core of the show is Joyce and James’ budding relationship as they try to survive together in this new world; the pushes and pulls of their dynamic, how they work when they’re in sync — and what happens when they aren’t — are the cornerstone of our entry into this world.

The entire ‘zombie apocalypse’ was brought about because of one man’s desperate attempts to save his wife and his ultimate fear of death and loneliness.

BACKGROUND

new-zombie-movies-history
Shorly after creating Last Breath, Caine Chow, a filmmaker from Toronto revisited a short scene from an old film named Twister directed Jan de Bont in 1996. This inspired him to collaborate with director Lucas Cheong, a Ryerson film graduate. Cheong quickly developed a screen play and after several revisions, Forgotten Corpses forged into a short film. The film later received early sponsorship by the make up giant Jordane Cosmetics.

After the film’s Halloween release on Youtube in 2016, it was well indicated that the people involved would like to see it made into a series. After some discussions with the collaborators, the decision was certain. Forgotten Corpses will be a webseries of 13 short episodes with a main theme expanding throughout. Within each episode, it will consist of small compelling stories that will captivate any horror loving goer!
